"Do let's pretend that I'm a hungry hyaena and you're a bone!"

"So now that I am old and gray and all my hair is gone, They take my wig from me and say 'How can you put such rubbish on?"

Some of the features of this limited edition include....

  • the lost 'Wasp In A Wig' text from chapter eight. This text was edited out by Macmillin and then re-discovered in the 1970's. We've restored this text and printed it in brown ink so that you can identify where the restored text is. George Walker has provided five original illustrations for the rediscovered text.
  • The book is made entirely with handset lead type. Yes that's right one letter at a time.
  • The wood engravings are printed directly from the wood blocks.
  • This book is dedicated to Joseph Brabant, Carrollinian scholar and late partner of The Cheshire Cat Press. He will be sadly missed as his influence and help in the creation of this book was integral to its' progress.
  • Each book is custom bound upon order.
